Acetal/Delrin/ POM

Acetal plastic, or also known as polyoxymethylene (POM), is a general purpose,

semi-crystalline, engineered thermoplastic. 

​

Typical Properties 

  • High fatigue resistance

  • High creep resistance

  • High toughness

  • High tensile strength and stiffness

  • Enables thinner, lighter part design

  • Very good dimensional stability (low water absorption)

​Bakelite 

Bakelite was the first plastic made from synthetic components. It is a thermosetting phenol formaldehyde resin, formed from a condensation reaction of phenol with formaldehyde.

​

Typical Properties

  • Can be molded very quickly

  • Moldings are smooth

  • Moldings are heat-resistant and scratch-resistant.

  • Resistant to electricity

  • Not flexible

Nylon is from the family of polymers called polyamides and is often referred to and

abbreviated as PA. Nylon PA is a man-made semi-crystalline thermoplastic.
